How does my free trial work?

If you signed up for a free trial during onboarding, you have access to Detox's full experience for the trial period. You're not charged anything during the trial. At the end of the trial, Apple charges you for the plan you signed up for (typically the yearly subscription) unless you cancel first.

The trial length depends on which offer you signed up for. You can check the exact end date at any time on your iPhone: open the App Store app, tap your profile, tap Subscriptions, tap Detox, and look at the renewal date shown there. That date is when the trial converts to a paid subscription.

Apple's reminder email

Apple sends a reminder email 24 hours before your trial converts. The email is sent to the email tied to your Apple Account, which may be different from the email you gave Detox during onboarding. If you don't see it, check that inbox specifically, and check your spam folder.

The reminder is just a heads-up. You don't have to do anything with the email itself; cancelling still has to happen in the App Store.

Cancelling before you're charged

If you don't want to convert to a paid subscription, cancel before the trial end date. The cancellation flow is the same whether you're in a trial or already paying: see How do I cancel my subscription? for the full steps.

As long as you cancel before the end date, you're not charged. You keep access to Detox until the trial actually ends.

After the trial ends

If you don't cancel, your subscription becomes active at the renewal date. You're charged for the plan you signed up for (typically the yearly subscription, full price) and access continues uninterrupted.

If you cancel after that point, see the cancellation article. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Can I start another trial?

Apple's policy is one trial per app per Apple Account. If you've already used the Detox trial, you can subscribe directly (no second trial), but you won't see another free trial offer for the same Apple Account.
