What notifications does Detox send, and how do I control them?

Detox sends two types of notifications: Reload reminders (so your blocks keep working if you haven't opened the app in a while) and Marketing notifications (occasional feature updates, tips, and offers). Both are opt-in and controlled in Settings → Other settings → Application.

These notifications are not the same as block-related notifications (Auto Block pre-warnings, Scheduled Block reminders, and Scheduled Block start alerts). Those are a separate set of toggles. See What can I do on the Settings page? if you are looking for the block-notification settings.

If you meant something else: block-related notifications (Auto Block pre-warning, Scheduled reminder, Scheduled start) → see What can I do on the Settings page?.

Reload reminders

If you go a while without opening Detox, your blocks can stop updating. Detox sends a reminder to reopen and refresh them.

To turn Reload reminders on or off: Settings → Other settings → Application → Reload reminders.

Marketing notifications

Occasional updates about new features, tips, and the odd offer. Detox asks once whether you want them when you first use the app, and you can turn them off anytime.

To turn Marketing notifications on or off: Settings → Other settings → Application → Marketing notifications.
