# Can I share Detox with my family?

Not yet. There is no working family plan, and one Detox subscription cannot cover more than one Apple Account. Each person who wants Detox needs their own subscription on their own Apple Account for now. We are building a family plan and it is coming soon.

**Please don't change your plan in the App Store looking for a family option.** If you come across something that looks like one, it isn't ready yet: switching to it would charge you without giving anyone else access.

## Apple Family Sharing is not the same thing

Apple Family Sharing is an iOS feature that shares certain purchases across a family group. It is **not** a Detox family plan, and Detox premium does not travel through it today. A family member buying Detox does not give you premium, and your subscription does not give them premium.

The two are easy to confuse, so to be clear: your iOS family group can be set up perfectly and working for other apps while Detox still asks each person to subscribe separately.

## If you spot something that looks like a family option

Don't buy it. A family-looking plan may still be visible in **App Store → profile → Subscriptions → Detox** while we finish the work. It doesn't do anything yet: switching to it charges you and unlocks nothing for anyone else.

To rule out the explanations people usually reach for first: the reason you can't get a working family plan is **not** that your Apple Family Sharing group is set up wrong, **not** that you are on Lifetime, **not** your country or App Store region, **not** a bug, and **not** something we can switch on for your account. It simply isn't ready yet.

## What works today

Each person installs Detox on their own device and subscribes on their own Apple Account. That is the only way for two people to both have premium right now.

Worth knowing either way: Detox already runs independently for each person. Everyone has their own monitored apps, their own Scheduled Blocks, their own Auto Block settings and their own Progress data. None of that is shared between accounts, and it will not be shared once the family plan arrives. What the family plan will share is the subscription itself, not anyone's configuration.

## When it arrives

We are actively working on it and it is coming soon. We would rather not give a date we might miss, so we are not putting one here. If the family plan is what you are waiting for, tell us in the chat; knowing who wants it helps us prioritize.
